The main problem in my eyes is the lighting. There is too much shadow which obscures much of the image. It also seems very busy to me (tree in the foreground, branches in front of the roof, many more branches in the background, angled lawn in the foreground which draws the eye due to the way it forms a sharp point in the left bottom corner; additionally some of the elements of the house, the lattice and the horizontal timbers iabove, also compete to draw attention). I' not saying that I think you could have done a better job though, it's just that this particular scene is perhaps not the best candidate for a great shot (just a nice one).
