in adobe photoshop where is the tool to rotate the images in order to have straight horizons? Not the rotate 90,180 degree tools, they only need to be rotated like 4 or 5 degrees to get the horizon straight. please help.

and maybe place a guide at the horizon line for ... uh ... guidance

menu .... view\new guide .....

for the value to use .........switch your navigator palette to "info" tab and pay attention to the "Y" number (lower left corner of info tab) .. move your mouse to the horizon line and make a note of the number

A much easier method is to use the measure tool to draw a line across your horizon. Then, go Image>Rotate Canvas>Arbitrary and the amount needed to straighten the line (and horizon) will automatically entered. Then click OK and it's straight.

that sounds like it will work very well but where is the measure tool that is used to draw the line?

It is located beneath the eye dropper tool in the tools pallete. If you hold down Shift and press I, it toggles through those set of tools.

Ok, I am running 7 so there are going to be big differences. Do you have the Image>Rotate Canvas>Arbitrary menu?
