I would like to know if it is just me or what?but not long ago I could see animated icones from some members here, and I do not see them animated anymore! is it just my browser have hic-ups or are the animated icone not so animated anymore?

Thx you, all, i do think also that my browser as something wrong , I use firefox 1.0.2 and there's no way through internet option's menu to enable animation! I,ll have to go further! thx again for the help !

Now that we have addressed the problem of seeing them, lets learn how to make them! Assuming the user has no special programs but can downlaod any available, how can an animated icon be constructed? :-D
Yes Pierre, there is a search function on the main forums page. I didn't notice it until quite recently...
Edit: I used said search function and found the discussion I was thinking of, I've sent it back to the top. It sounds like it was a hardware problem in the end though, so might not be any help.
I use animation shop for the animations, I think there must be something similar with photoshop but I'm not sure. I have reinstalled firefox 1.0.3 and there is still no animation!

I have used Image Ready for animated banners before.
Animated icons get my goat though. Some of them are quite subtle and not too intrusive - say Pierre's or Anthony's (Noob). Most are irritating in the extreme and seem to feature various bits of jerky and pointless animation.
