My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Good for you, Lyn...I will put a link to this thread on my upload today to help spread the word...not everyone is inclined to visit these discussion boards.
I will try to find something, I think, worthy of your time LynEve. We have a couple/few good entrants already not able to participate and there will probably be others... but we do have some good 'promised' participants! See ya next Wednesday... for sure! ☺
It does sound very interesting. Of course I will participate, if I only remember :) But someone would have to make the link for me, as I have not acquired these skills to such a degree yet... LOL SAM & SAAB

Deal me in... Only one problem though: I don't know how to do links. People have tried to tell me but my brain doesn't work in that area. If someone can do the link for me let me know. mary
Just read your above post, Lyn. Will give you the address when it's ready. ;-)
I realise that this is probably a little late in the day but 'Monochrome Monday' has more of a ring to it. that then frees Wednesday for 'Weird Wednesday' a day for posting surreal images.
That does have a nice ring to it Chris. Perhaps it could be changed later on if interest lasts. There could always be a "Mysterious Monday" for surreal :)

Oh Rats! now besides stressing over belly fat, old age, and interrupted naps, I got to come up with some art that needs to please some sweet babe in New Zeland? . . . .OK . . I will do it. I had better put some coffee on the stove. I dont do so well creatively, on Beer. :)
Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.
Because I opened my mouth and volunteered my services, I just now realized there is no amount of lying that can excuse me from it. I will be unavailable Wednesday. I have uploaded my submission called Rick-N-BooBoo I hope you enjoy.
Anyone else wanting to submit early could they please pm it to me. In fact all entries could be done that way and then I will make a list of links so that all can be posted together. I am delighted to see so much interest and will be great to see all your images. :)

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! when sending a PM to LynEve please remember what you have written before, this will allow you to avoid embarrassing slip of the tongue such as I did. Please read on. . . .
"Moose, thanks for your entry in the challenge. I am having a laugh because I have gone from a 'babe' to an 'ole girl' in a matter of a day. LOL"
I have to go drink more Beer now, Ugh! just to help me forget this embarrassment. :)
greetings and a thank you for the personal invitation. I'll keep your challenge in mind when I go out shooting today. The weather's overcast now, perfect for macrophotography.
LynEve you wrote "There are no rules and no prizes- image can be an original b/w, or a conversion. Any subject, any category." NO RULES! - Right! so I thought I would break one of your non-rules and submit another, somewhat, almost but not quite, B&W pic.
Because there is no prize, I have nothing to loose. But I do have the honor of being the first to break a non-rule. Oh Rats! I must of drank too much beer, because I am enjoying this. :)

Here is My entry Lyn. Great Idea. I like this better than the other contest. Doesn't take as long and there's only ONE JUDGE, JUROR and EXECUTIONER. LOL! This is where I make a Roger Goddell remark...or maybe NOT.
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.
Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
I think I will need it Thad ! The list is growing and choosing will be very difficult. But whoever I choose gets to select another, so it is good there is plenty of choice.

There! Now you can copy & paste and do a minimal edit!
If anyone wants to know how to create a link, and it's very easy, just follow what is below.
Type, following the steps consecutively below:
1) < 2) a h 3) ref 4) = 5) " 6) web page address (where your info is located; the whole http address) 7) " 8) > 9) the name you give your link 10) < 11) / 12) a 13) >
Be sure to leave a space between the a and the h in step 2. I can't write it out as a formula because it will create a link and you won't see what I am trying to explain. Once you do this a few times, you will see how easy it is.
"Shady Tree Hill":http://www.caedes.net/Zephir.cgi?lib=Caedes::Infopage&image=chris_f2005-1351132189.jpg taken last weekend for your consideration. Have a good one!

I think I have all 30 entries safely on my list with links made. Just a few hours left before the last of our Time Zones clicks over into Thursday. It is almost 6pm on Thursday where I am. Please don't worry if you are unable to provide a link - just the address will be fine. I will be back to post the list including any more that are submitted after I eat some dinner :)

Hi Lyn, I've chosen Calendar Lovelies _ B&W by ::tigger3. It's well composed with the focus at the centre of the foreground flower and everything else progressively less focused. The tones are contrasty but still retaining the detail in the shadow areas and the whole thing perfectly framed in a complimentary border. Regards Ray

Will anybody update the list of images selected/available for selection. I for instance selected "Andy" by JImbo yesterday or so. Nothing happened. Perhaps I am completely unaware of how it should work ?! LOL Yours mentally disabled [lol-feebly] SAM and mentally fit + very smart SAAB
Could somebody, namely myself [like palral we are two personalities] select two images, please ....? JUst asking. SAM & SAM" and SAAB in fact 3 complete personalities nothing yet...?
SAM, just above your first post Lyn posted a link to an updated list of entries available for selection...once you pick the one you like best just type in the title of the image at the bottom of that discussion board and send the artist a PM.
Marzena, you posted your choice on Jimbob's image page and I did not see it because I can not keep checking each and every entry - I would have to be here 24/7!! Because the list appears in my message I am the only one who can edit it. I have now caught up with your choice and posted it for you on the correct page which is (for everyones benefit) B/W Challenge Entries
Thanks for joining in SAM and SAAB and I am sorry, only one choice at a time per person :)
