Hello, I'm just new here and I wonder if I can use the wallpapers to create a pps, but only for personal use, nothing commercial at all.... or do I have to ask the permission from each author???
If it is truly only for personal use, then it's fine. If, however, you are going to be using it for a public showing, or distribute it in some fashion, you need to get permission.
Thanks for the reactions everybody... ;-))
so I can not send the pps ( = powerpoint presentation ) to my personal friends or post it on my site???
by the way: I have another question: how do you post a link in a comment??? for example I wanna post my site here so that when you click on it you are directly on my site.... I don't know if the word "link" is correct in Englisch.... sorry if I make some mistakes but Dutch is my maternal language... I hope you understand what I mean by "link"
you would have to credit all the artists whose works you use in the powerpoint presentation - especially if you put it on a site.
links are done by <[a href=" webpage address you are linking to "> how you refer to it </a]> - just take the square brackets off this and you have the link.
You would also need permission from the authors before you could do either of those things. Remember that authors put their work on caedes with a specific understanding of how it will be used, and that it won't be distributed without their permission. If people start disrespecting their copyright, it might discourage them from posting here or even cause people to remove their images from the site. Most authors won't have a problem if you explain to them what you want to do.
