Login Problems

I have been having problems this morning with staying logged in to the site. I was browsing through my images to see if there were comments to reply to, and practically every other image I was having to log back in and re-sort my images back to c-index in order to go through in the order I wanted.

Is anyone else having this problem?

It sounds like your browser might me maxed out in the number or length of cookies that it is willing to store. Try deleting all your cookies.

I can't think of a reasonable situation on the server which would log a person out without their knowledge. There are three things which will cause you to get logged out:

1. Losing the session id cookie for some reason (browser's fault).
2. Changing your IP address (your ISP's fault).
3. Changing the user agent string of your browser (browser's fault).

Number 2 and 3 will only happen if you have "secure password encoding" (SPE) turned on in your profile preferences. My guess is that your have SPE turned on and your ISP is changing your ip address for some reason. This could happen if your traffic is going through a load-balanced proxy of some sort. Try turning off SPE and let me know if that does the trick.

hmmm....well I haven't changed any settings on my browser (Secure IE) or my computer, but I have had no problems today at all.

Very strange. *ponders*
