Idea for Kids

I saw it mentioned that there should be a seperate section for kids images on this site. That got me thinking... Maybe there should be an entirely new website.. like "kaedeskids.net" or something. And it can be set for a young audience, where there are just images tehre to download as wallpaper or whatever. (not necesaraly have uploads, cuz the kids would probably be to young to do that) Just a thought. Cheers!

I think that would be a great Idea Tony. Or maybe even a section here posted just for the kids of Caedes.

I think this is an excellent idea. Especially if we can get people to give appropriate commentary and encouragement. Just a link from the front page to the Kids section should do the trick. Would you have an age cut off, say for 13 and under or something?

There are three colours, Ten digits and seven notes, its what we do with them that’s important. Ruth Ross

This is a great idea. I know that my kids like to watch me make these things and my oldest wants to start. What better place for my boy to go than caedes.net.

I agree even more now that I see a few of the longer lasting members on the site feel that it would be a great idea.
Think of it this way!
It might just give a few of the kids out there something to do and look forward to. Maybe even give them a little more incentive to be more productive in there young life's. Who knows maybe promote confidence in some of those who think life is so bad. Caedes can have something like the young artist of the week or month or even set up something with software companies in order to give the kids a small prize for the image of the month or week. You know like a free down load of elements or KPT.
The software companies shouldn’t mind. It would only help sale there products in the long run.
Either way it would be great to see some kids go from despair and being down on life, to positive about life. Who knows maybe the site may spawn some future well known artist.

Would this be a mandatory thing for those children under the cutoff age? Like, preventing them from posting here? Because I rather like it here...I'd hate for there to become restrictions on who exactly can post here.

Know I think it could be done in a special section of the site. Maybe in two or three age groups to make it faire; maybe adolescents up to 9, juniors 9 to 13 and teens 13 to 18.

The more I think about this the more I like the idea. Young minds are so creative and often in ways that really surprise you. While they are being creative they aren’t learning to be vandals or worse. I second the age group idea too. We can’t have 8 year olds comparing results with 12 year olds.

Yes I like that idea too. My kids are grown and gone from home..but I would love to view other childrens photos or creative things. Right here in caedes...a nice special spot for them. So they feel a part of it all..and can learn at an early age, so they will keep on going with photography and love nature and things all the more..Yes is my vote for sure..thanx for thinking of this.

Going barefoot is the gentlest way of walking, and can symbolize a way of living. It's the feeling of enjoyment beneath our toes...it removes the barrier between us and nature...(AdeleCoombs,Barefoot Dreaming)

I’m not sure about that Tony because you run the risk of having two discussion topics going about the one theme. And that could get confusing.

Blague, There would be nothing stopping you from posting in the regular manner.

I have felt for a long time that there should be a kids gallery here and I'm glad to see the idea gaining momentum...I agree, kids can be VERY creative...sometimes even more than us adults whose minds have become so cluttered and biased...hope to see this take shape.:Pat.

Personally, I quite enjoy being "equally" commented on (though that's not the word I was looking for). I'm twelve and I understand I wouldn't 'have' to move to the kids gallery, but still I would feel sort of obliged... Maybe if the site just said more boldly that kids weren't 'discouraged' from posting pix it would draw more interest from kids and there fore create a larger interest from kids to have a separate gallery. Again I rather like being mixed in with the majority.

To me, "Normal" people are wierd, but to them I am wierd, when I am simply normal.
