There are many people on this site that makes images to upload and there are also a lot of people that don't make images but are still members. Shouldn't the people that upload images have a certain symbol representing them like the Caedes Cadre and Moderators?

I don't remember if caedes was planning to implement something like this in the new site changes, but it might be nice to bring attention to regular contributors in the author list.

Would it make those who (like me) are mostly-lookers and occasional-uploaders feel somehow like, well, mooches and free-loaders?

I don't think flashing lights would work, a simple thing like how the moderators and cadre have but different. Something on the keyboard or something that can easily be made to be placed in front of usernames.
