OK here it is - the list of authors who want criticism of our works. I promise that I will never "retaliate" against anyone who offers criticism of any of my works regardless of what they say. I pledge to always give the vote to any image that I think it deserves - not the vote that I think is required to pull the score down to what I think it should be.

I put my images on the Caedes forum, because I want you to criticize them. Your criticism is how I become better, so bring it on.

Please anyone who wants criticism on their images, put your name on this thread.

Aye! It is the best way to learn. I have learned quite a bit through the years from some that actually do offer criticism. And I appreciate it every single bit of it - even if my image isnt liked. I'll admit - in the beginning it hurt - now, I welcome it cuz I have a purpose in this now. So - Aye, Aye, Aye!!!

I can take it! Some of mine are just funny, some are meant to be serious. I've taken the camera out of automatic recently and I'm looking at white balance and f-stops and all these fun calculations (and mis-calculations)

i get so little criticism.. not sure if that is a good thing or not, but i certainly don't consider myself a professional so anything anyone wants to say about my images, please feel free.

Aye with respect to constructive feedback and criticism. I see things through one set of eyes...I'd really value knowing how other eyes see my work and suggestions for improvement, as long as they come from an attitude of respect rather than some sort of selfish vengence.

I wasn't sure I should post it but... I'm sorry that I have to say that I don't completely trust *some* that have posted here. 99% yes but not *some*... :/ That leaves me back at square one at least. Sorry. I'm still going to speak frankly and freely as long as I have some time to spare but I'm not confident that this thread will solve any of the problems it intended to.

This was a good idea, but I can't see myself checking this list before I offer my critiques on images!!! (especially now that it's so long). I believe I'll just continue offering my advice where I think it's warranted, and if people don't agree they can always ignore it. I usually try to make it clear that my opinion is just that, and people can disagree if they feel my advice is unwarranted.

Maybe another thread...who doesn't want critique would be the smaller list;-)

Yes...I agree with Mayne, and Samatar. Anybody that seeks to satisfy is always looking for critique, and I'm always willing to improve for the "customer". Perhaps a list of the ones who do not wish to be criticised WOULD be much smaller. =0)

Good idea Regmar. I'll sign up. All criticisms welcome, no matter how harsh or biting, just make sure you give me reasons why you like/don't like the image.

You know, telling me that "some people aren't trustworthy" doesn't help me. I don't know who "they" are. How can you tell if a certain person is voting you down? Yesterday I noticed a couple of my images with 20 or so votes dropped down 3 points on the c-index. Now I'm not too smart, but I can tell that that means someone deliberately trashed my work to bring it down. If you do not like my critiques, please tell me. I will apologize and I'll be more careful in the future. I have no ego when it comes to that sort of thing.
