Fancy spellin caedes wrong when your talking to caedes, i'll get my coat!
I think that other site is better than this one anyway:) Can i make a donation to ceades.net?
How long has this site been running for BTW, you don't get this shoddy service over at ceades.net:-)
hey, im one of the earliest members, I should get some awards for still being around =)
oh, and i like ceades.net. Do you actaully have to pay for the seperate domain name?
yep, it's only $15 or so a year though. I get nearly 20 people every day getting the spelling wrong, so I think it's worth it. Otherwise they'd think the site was down.
Isn't this one of only about 10 or 12 non-pornographic sites remaining on the web? Caedes, I think you could cut your costs, by moving ceades.net to 1and1.com web hosting. It includes free forwarding to any directory on the web so you can point it to caedes.net although you'd lose the snazzy chastising landing page that way. You could also point it to caedes.net/chastise and punish them thusly. It's only 6 bucks a year to register a domain with 1and1 (I believe they're actually a front for some UK registry). Think about it the next time you want to super-size your meal but decide not to splurge.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't currently pay anything extra for the hosting of ceades.net. I have my own web hosting server, so I can host as many domains as I want for free. The $17 that I mentioned was for the domain registration.
That cheque i sent should cover the cost, does this make it mine?
I don't know anything about hosting such a site so will need to hire you as a consultant, what's the going rate? I've got a good feeling about this, it's sure to be a real money maker:)
The 6 bucks a year I was talking about was just for domain registration actually. Hosting would be extra, but registration with that company includes free forwarding. I figured you could go with the cheaper registry since you don't need any of the frills because you host with your own server. I don't really know anything about how difficult it is to re-register a domain with a different registry though, woudln't want to risk losing it in the transition. Seems like there would be a simple way to do it...
I know that some registrars charge a bit less, but I'm happy with domainmonger and the difference in price really isn't worth the hassle of transfering all my domains. $17 a year is almost nothing when you're spending nearly $300 a month on servers. =)
Very true, luckily since I have nothing of real value to offer on my website people realize that there is no need to visit, which saves me a bundle on independent servers :)
