Shouldn't this site have a gallery of images that would probably be used in an office building, something simple yet professional looking? Is professional spelled wrong?

I am a professional, and I work in an office, and I like the nature photography desktop wallpaper. What exactly did you have in mind?

Something simple, it was just a thought but now I'm beginning to think that it was such a good idea.

No, I see what you're saying, though I don't know if the demand is there. Simple, clean images for desktop use in an office. Of course, in my office they've restricted the settings so much that you can't even alter the desktop. *sigh*

*Looks for his picture of a black cat in a coal mine at midnight with the power out* I think a blank screen with a wash of color would be the simplest and allow focus on work instead of gazing at the screen;-) But I am not you boss haha:-)

Surely in a coalmine it would be black at any time of day?

;-)

Actually, I used to have a black desktop for a while...

I consider all the days before discovering Caedes my dark ages of desktops. I defintely had a plain black desktop for a while. I'm sure there are some suitably plain desktops around the site that just require a little searching. I think the main reason they don't have their own gallery is that all the images on the site exist in only one gallery and that would take them out of some other suitable gallery that they're in now. A 'Simple' gallery under the computer section doesn't sound like too bad of an idea though.

It doesn't sound like a bad idea, there are two many images in the permenant galleries, people that come onto the site are going to want to look for a background but it'll take so long to look through them all and the search isn't very accurate or helpful when looking for an image. Wow, I completely changed the point of my own discussion.

If I ever want a plainer more muted desktop I just take one of tbob's cool fractal jobbies and multiply an 80-50% black gradation over it. You can still make out all the intricate patterns in it but it seams to generate a fake depth into your monitor that looks very cool.
