Is there a way to remove the date and time off of digital photos? I had no idea my camera would suddenly put those on. I didnt change the settings, but somehow it did it...a mind of its own? sheesh...anyone got an answer?

Does it have a main menu setting? I have a Nikon and it has a menu setting where all that kind of stuff is lumped together, and you have to scroll through it to get to where you want to go.

yea, i'm sure your camera has an option to enable and disable the date stamp.. every camera i've used has that feature and it shouldn't be hard to find.

my camera seemed to have put on the date "by accident" lol...well I probably did it somehow, not realizing....and I can get rid of that, I never had it on before this happened. But the photos I DID do have the date and so I just need to know how to get them off these particular ones. I am not sure even HOW to use the clone bush..healing brush? can ya explain to me about that plz? thanx........Ya, I have a Nikon Digital but I seem to have to use the manual a lot still...so I gotta hunt that one up...thankies to all.

A Nikon Coolpix what?

A cursory look on the internet for Nikon Coolpix cameras seems to suggest you need to go into your Setup menu and then change the Date Imprint option to 'Off'. It's amazing what a Google search can do.

Without knowing the exact camera, it's difficult to say, but the answer above seems to apply to several Nikon Coolpix models that I could see.

Verenabloo,
I think you mean the imbeded metainfo that is imbeded in the image...the best tool for that is Adobe Bridge which allows you to edit all of that information and to add your own copyright information as well.

There's a manual for a Nikon Coolpix 4800 here. On page 95, it has the details for how to turn off the date imprint function - thus stopping the camera from imprinting the date and/or time on the bottom right of the image.

Is this what you needed?

From the post above: "my camera seemed to have put on the date "by accident" lol...well I probably did it somehow, not realizing....and I can get rid of that, I never had it on before this happened. But the photos I DID do have the date and so I just need to know how to get them off these particular ones"...

So the problem was removing the date from photos already taken, not turining off the option. I beleive all the available options have been mentioned already, ie cloning or healing brsuh, going back in time etc...

There should be a reset defaults on the camera somewhere. That should gtet rid of the date issue. If not throw the darn thing away and get a new one.

What is the smallest(in terms of memory) photo editing program to download from the net to get rid of the dates??? Photoshop and Photo impression have really large setup files to download....any ideas on anything else??
