Haha, maybe I am the only one to experience it. Caedes slows to a crawl everynight at this time. Not sure why it happens? It may be my service provider or some maintenance thing that slows my system down. On average, it takes 5 minutes to load a page when it slows down, even to logout. That's usually when I call it quits for the day anyways. Just curious what is going on?
yes, i have not experienced it either, i do find minor slowdown after that time though, but i DO experience the exact same thing at the exact same time on a site called mxtabs.net
I logged in at 2 AM and it took AGES. I believe the slow-down must last a couple of hours or so. Maybe that's the time of day/night the website is set to automatically clean up all the loose ends and put things in proper order?
It is now 2:28 AM (Montana time) and everything is back up to speed. Just logged back in and WHAM, immediate access. Guess the 2-hour estimate was pretty close.
The "11 oclock phenonmenon" is when the server syncronizes all the newly uploaded images with the image server. I'm surprised that it slows the server down so much. I think I might try putting a limit on the ammount of bandwidth that the image sync takes. Let's see if that help any.
I have given up on trying to get onto Caedes after 1 am EST.......Because of the big lag in the site response, often it tells me the server isn't responding at all. <pout>
well i get it here in uk but i cant actually remember what the GMT it is, but that doenst matter coz its all considered under the time zones in us methinks.
This seems to have improved somewhat in the last couple of days... I don't know if this is due to any change, but if it is, then thanks! I appreciate it!
The memory upgrade was not successful, so it can't be that. I made a RAM disk to store some frequently accessed files on. That might be part of the reason.
