Hey my firends, i have had a simple but a pretty cool idea, why we don't start to add with our photo also the location of the shot with google earth?

Not a bad idea Pier, but I don't think alot of people will go to the trouble, honestly. I think everybody's so used to just saying in their desctiption, Florence, or London, or wherever. But if you can get it off the ground, good deal ! Good luck with your new suggestion !
I agree with Laurengary. I think it is a neat idea but I am wondering how complicated it would be? If it does succeed, good for you and a cool idea.I think only certain images should use this.
Yes I like the idea a lot. And like Paul said, maybe for special photos..and places..I think it would be so interesting. Try it ok? let us know how to go about doing it in a bit more detail..
What i like to do is to help as technical support who like this idea tand to try to have a specific directory browse. Really thank for your enthusiastic comments.
wicked idea as i've been wondering at some of the terrific images i see of places, where exactly are they etc. however, i'm yet to try/get to grips with Google earth. I will comply when i do :~)
It does sound like a good idea, but Google Earth has some pretty high overhead. It loads a lot of stuff onto your hard drive. I checked this morning (just before I uninstalled it), and it had put about twenty megabytes of stuff onto my computer, since I installed it.
Something you should know about Google Earth (beta)...

Neat. Maybe instead we could set up a facility to tag google maps with the locations. That way it would be all together, and it would be on a platform that anyone can access without having to download software. It would of course require some setting up in the first place with the google API and the EZ code.
At a basic level, it would be possible to put google map links on image descriptions in any case but it would be even more cool to have a dedicated page for it where locations could be browsed en masse.

Has anyone had any problems with thier PC crashing after closing Google Earth? I'm running Windows XP Pro 2002 SP2, IE 6 SP2 and Google Earth 3.0.0762 and I'm able to 'click' on a Google Earth location and view it, but, when I close Google Earth I get the blue screen of death and my PC restarts and all seems fine after that.
Just wanted to know if any others have had that happen. Maybe it's just user error on my part although I haven't a clue.
Strange... I've the same configuration (XP Pro + SP2 + GE 3.0.0762), but I'm using Mozilla Firfox 1.7.
I think you MUST abandon IE for Firefox, not only for Google Earth...
