Im interested to know about this.. i recall reading something similar and i don't have a clue where... As a fan of a game.. could you use screen captured images from the game, specifically the thing i was reading... allowed it with the possibility of so much maniupulation of an image changing it from the original screen capture and allowing that you gave specific mention of the game.. manufacturer etc... Monkeypuzzle and i are avid fans of 'Battlefield1942' and can be found playing online alot ( we even have our own amazing 2 member clan).. recently i have been capturing screen shots when i see funnny events and posting them to avi on msn while he is still playing.. leaving him a little laugh when he finishes. Recently during a lull in the action avi and i found ourselves staring each other down nose to nose so out came the knives... to cut a long story a little bit shorter.. i managed to screen capture Avi trying to stab out my eyeball... when we finally finished the game and got back to our desktops.. avi found the picture waiting on his msn messenger.. had a giggle.. then we chatted and came up with an interesting idea.. the actual image was very nicely composed and as with all my photography i managed to take several shots.. .. both of us feverishly began to maniupulate the image in a race to see who could produce a version of it in thier own style..... well to cut a now even longer story short... we thought it might be interesting to do some desktops for caedes, where both me and avi start off with the same basic image and work our magic and then simultaneously post them on caedes.....having decided this we thought we might as well start with the 'Battlefield1942' image.. which if you can remember that far back in time was the originaly rambling point of this post....What would be the caedes site position on posting an image captured from a computer game.. if it has been visually removed from the source image through a degree of manipulation and fair credit to the original source has been given??? As an example here are links to Original Screen Capture ..... GRiMified version.

Well if Youv'e got this far.. thank you for reading my post which has turned into essay.. :D

its the condotioning I tell u....this is what uni does to u....u want to say something but u end up writing an essay like urself. i would imagine that aslong as the credit is given to the source & the image is manipulated(maybe) then the it shouldbe okay...but thats abiased opinion coz i want to post the images. can anyone confirm this..i would like to hear the same words out of someone who knows that for sure.... : )

I'm pretty sure that posting even unaltered screen captures of games is ok, however for them to be appropriate for this site they would have to be altered.

i'm pretty sure its okay, but if you can see like, "Battlefield 1942" on there, that's copyrighted of course.. but editing like that is cool.
