How do you render a scene in terragen and then tell the program to get another scene exactly to the left or right of it so that you can continue to render a panorama?
I'm kind of stumped. I've been working off of the free version of terragen that is on the caedes faq.

I'm uploading my photography on deviantart.com as well so you'll start seeing some of my same stuff on that site aswell. If I think people like it enough, i might buy a subscription and sell my artwork on it.

couldn't you just change the horizontal placement of your camera?

ashundar.com/forums .. here's a forum for t-gen newbies .. possibly you could ask there

Ya thats kind of what I want to do but i'm not sure how to do that without swiveling to a view that doesn't match the one before. Can you adjust the x or y coordinates so that it just moves only to the left?

in the rendering control window (opens by default .. but it's the first icon on the left side toolbar) .. there is Camera Position X .. Y .. Z(alt) ... and there is also target position

mess around with changing Camera X as well as Target X

because otherwise .. the camera will move but still look at the same spot (target)

but, personally, I would guess that there is a known way to do this and the folks at that forum might help .. they say "there is no stupid question"

I searched devART for Terragen tutorials .. and while there's quite a few .. their search page doesn't tell you the name of the piece .. so you have to load each page to see what it is ... some aren't tutorials ... HERE

got it figured out.
. What you have to do is go into the coordinates and only change the y axis number for target position. As long as you keep everything else the same, you'll make your view pan right or left so that you can get the next frame of terrain adjacent to you. Then I used autostitch and it mended the frames together into one nice big sweeping panorama. It was cool.

Hey thanks! I have tried to do this but I always ended up screwing up the perspective... I'll have to try your method out.
