I am posting this to the desktop forum in the hopes that more people will see it ...
what we have here is a number of photos from world-class photographers .. and how they would likely be critiqued by an online community .. such as our own ... enjoy
Neat link Keifer... thanks for sharing. By the way, I have link of my own to share... it's an article I wrote about Caedes.net over at Associated Content. Hopefully it will help drive some more traffic to this wonderful community!

Don't be bashful .. Create a thread just for that .. so that the conversation taking place underneath is directed at you ... like .. "how come you didn't mention ME?"
ROFL... OMG... did I omit that paragraph??? No wonder it's not getting as many rave reviews as I anticipated. :) And yes... I am a little bashful when it comes to my work. Honest... It comes from such a personal place, even the non-fiction pieces.
Sorry btw for hijacking your thread beanie baby. :)

I'm the least concerned about hijacking my thread, they're lucky to get a response half the time ..
don't be shy about creating your own thread .. ask for feedback or not, but the discussion underneath should be yours to beam proudly about .. or skulk from in fear ..

I liked the critique of "The Pond-Moonlight" (9th one down)...funny!! That one sold for over $ 2.9 million dollars!! Shows ya whadda bad photo can turn into. Guess it wasn't bad for 1904. It's currently the highest price paid for a photo that went on auction. So post'em all, even if you think it stinks...someone will buy it!!
(*smoosh and keifer fight to the death over who *caedes was talking to*) .. (*the lights go out in the auditorium where the fight is being held*) .. (*there is major pandemonium in the streets*)
That's too funny. I guess we all want our word out there. But let the world class photographers be humbled and the reviewers secretly ridiculed (or openly) and happily heard . Hey, we are never too good for other people to critique our work, even silly arses comments like those (sometimes in them the secrets ly LOL). People really think they are helping. That, or their ego is in over drive. Some of those comments were too silly man. The crooked bench with kids I found so funny. Some people want stuff to be all straight lines. Anyway, good link. It's a good wake up call for us commentors. 'Tactful' is the word, grasping it is harder than it looks in a place like Caedes. It's hard to give someone tips without sounding pompous. There is a fine line, and learning to recognize it and work with, it is an art in itself.
