I have passed this scene many times and never took the time to stop. This day I did. I did not clone out the wires because I like how they follow the lane to the house. I also had shots with less lane and a closer view of the house, but the trip seemed more important then the destination.

This is a wonderful rural capture, Tick.
The power lines add to the shot in my opinion, it is reality and not a distraction. Great DOF and color .

This is nice, Tick! I enjoy the long road ahead, leading to parts unknown. We often take them to see what happens. On rare occasions, we are asked to explain ourselves.

Certainly not worth the cloning, besides the poles and lines speak of the fact that this is how the rest of the world maintains contact with middle America and all other regions of this vast country. Brings the eyes right to the house and emphasizes the long journey home both literally and figuratively.

Good DOF here Tick. The eye is bound to follow the route right up to the sky as soon as you look at it.

Take me home country road!
Great depth and a great rustic scene Tick.
You were right to leave the power lines in.
I have just been working on a similar one but could never match this so abandoned :)

I'm glad you didn't clone out the wires...they give a kind of flow to the shot, along with the lane. Gorgeous shot, Tick.

Tick - This is outstanding! Great use of space. I think the power poles along the gravel road and the distant farm house make the image. Post-photo work is excellent. Thad
