My group had just finished playing this hole last Sunday in our annual Skitzo, one man golf tournament. You are your own partner for two rounds and you have to go it alone in the third round. Sounds complicated I know, but golf is not a game for the squeamish or faint of heart. Some of those footprints are mine. The lake was devouring balls at its usual rate. My balls escaped the water this time. :)

This is beauty and calm. Not a single trace of a struggle where the blood, sweat and tears are shed...
Boris would be handy with them balls, only it would be hard to foresee his reaction since... Oh, all right. LOL

There are so many double entendres and the "I'll touch it , but only with a fishing pole!" statement in your description, Ron, I'd better leave the text alone and concentrate on the pleasing image. I was a golfer when I was young but the courses were all pretty boring. The quality of your photo shows this one in good light, the sort that would draw potential golfers. What course is it, in case there's other golfing Cadesians nearby who like to run the links? -Nik

A beautiful scene Tick, everything is so calm and placid. Of course you colonial cousins need all the practice you can get as seemingly European golfers seem to win everything!
You may be interested to know that our local links course (at the end of the prom)is where the Stableford method of scoring was devised (Dr Stableford was a member).

Those are some crazy dance steps you laid out on the green, Arthur Murry would get lost following them. A beautiful looking scene and capture Tick.

Now that's a load of balls especially for a hole-in-one pond!

Do you try to hit that flag to stop your balls rolling into the lake then!

A fine shot Tick (no pun intended) Its a lovely composition and looks an idyllic spot - apart from the flags and the annoying people hitting little balls about! :) Glad yours escaped the water this time. . . . :)

I played a round once - no talent, no patience so I leave it to the other half to represent us in that area lol
I do quite enjoy watching sometimes though - am even quite excited about 'our' wonderful Lydia Coe.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
