I have seen this old 1950 Ford Truck setting at the entrance to an Iron & Metals buyer for some time. It is an F-1 in the F series that I started in 1948 and continues today. They have their sign in the back of the truck for advertising. I had the right camera with me on a day and time it was right to take the photo. I did some work with textures and did a three shot FDR to bring out the colors. I know some like to see the original photo before any editing was done, so for those who want to see it, Click here. Textures used were free and some of mine were included, so there is no credit due anyone.

Edit: Above is the original post and information. It was deleted by the moderators because it didn't comply with the COC. I used "free textures," instead of identifying where I found these textures. The textures were from iPiccy, except for the ones I made myself. I hope this clears up any problems made with my first post. I had some requests to post this again because some folks thought it a good one.

No it's not a good one it's an excellent one - the work you do with textures is so good and the HDR work is also so well done and not overdone as some I see.

At first you have been lucky to have found this great setting with all those stones. Then you have shown your best skills and talent like founder co-father should:) Good of mother [OB1] founder to take notice of that.
Is this Datick your nick there? I find some of the posts there fascinating! Not all were ever here...

Welcome back, Henry! Good to see this one back where it belongs as it's an excellent example of how the right textures can really bring out the richness of an image...I'm taking the keys and parking it in my favorites.

The last driver of this classic was just getting ready for or was just escaping from winter. The snow chains are still on the rear tire. As mentioned by many, your work with textures and layers is extraordinary. I hope we get to see this picture for a bit longer than we could with your last attempt.

Fabulous shot Owd Fella Tick. Worthy to be placed in the perms rather than being deleted. I had the intention to say something about the COC, but in order to keep my blood pressure at an acceptable level, think it's better to keep my mouth closed.

Thanks for sharing it SOT.

Old Henry looks proud and handsome in both images Tick. I can't understand why any explanation is needed for using textures. Everytime Henry change his "clothes" you have to say This is "Polo" or "Hilfiger" and so on!

When I was a kid a neighbor had one of these and our crew of kids would play in it into the wee hours, ducking down in the cab and box whenever another vehicle would drive by. He put up with us messing around with the windshield wipers, radio knobs and light switch, but started locking the cab when one of us let the air out of a couple tires (wasn't me!). Your treatment of textures and color do this old gem proud. -Nik
