It is the time of year in Northern Missouri when the Eagles show up for a little scavenger work. It is deer season and not all deer that are shot are found. The Eagles dine on those. I wish I had a larger zoom, but alas I don't.

I was a Morse Code Intercept Operator when I was in the Air Force. Dah Dah Di Dah stands for the letter Q. The phrase that we learned to the beat of dah dah di dah was pay-day-to-day. When it was payday in the Air Force, they would say: "The Eagle Has Landed." Now you know the rest of the story.

You have that handsome eagle in really great focus, Tick. The sky looks good for the background. Bop Diddy Bop Diddy Shoop Diddy Shoop Di Shoop! That stands for absolutely nothing at all.

Bald Eagles seem to find the tallest & biggest trees to sit. I think this one has his eagle eye on dinner. Excellent capture, Tick ... love the detail.

Those eagles build the largest nests and use the largest limbs, I'd just like to see them flying with those branches, never have though. This is a very nice capture.

Good one Tick. The eagle is singing dah dah di dah too because it has seen something on the ground. Good find and capture.

i think the only reason he was there TicK..i finally got the windows painted outside..didnt look good for awhile, as birds of pray & scavengers were circling all around waiting for me to drop dead..they must be like those birds that talk, because these could hear!..after a few choice words of the wife yelled out the window at me...well i think they were under the impression of a easy dinner.

nice eye! i sure would like to see one of these, they say we have 5 here...personally i thinks the DNR's playing pranks on the birders.

A nice capture of the eagle and interesting tale, TicK. The eagles and I have an unwritten agreement. They only make close up appearances whenever I don't have my camera with me. Otherwise I'm a day late and a dollar short.
