This establishment looks as though it has been around a long, long time, Tick. Did You try out anything from the menu while You were in town? It is nice to see You posting and commenting again.

Looks like Ray has the Famous Hamburger and I'll bet they're yummy - like the old fashioned Pepsi caps on the store - I'd definitely try one of his burgers - Great Capture Tick and glad to see you back on Caedes!!!:-):-):-)!!!

As a Hamburger I can guess that Ray's hamburgers must be tasty. Why? because this diner was established in 1932 and Ray had enough time to refine aunt Millie's original recipe. Nice capture Tick.

Love these kind of places Tick - see lots like this in small towns in Wisconsin - usually the hamburgers are great because the meat comes from the butcher shop down the block. I also am glad to see you back.

Iowa has a lot of these little Mom and Pa hamburger shops also. They all have their way of making a hamburger just a little better than the one down the street. Your shot shows a diner that has been kept up and is inviting to go into. Nice one.

What a yummy looking greasy spoon. I'll bet they have a wooden screen door that slaps your butt each time you pass through. Beautifully photographed, Tick.

I would eat in a place like this any day over dining in a "fancy" restaurant, love these old places and the food they serve!

I have never been a lover of 'Burgers'..(Ham or Beef)...Especially A McD...But, then again it might be the way they are made over here!

Good one here for MM too...

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), your image did already water my mouth. My brain said already 'Yummy'. Confirmed that I had sufficient money in my wallet, and then I saw the sign 'closed' in the right window. I was rather disappointed, as 'Pizza Hut' or 'BK', etc. aren't an alternative for me, lol.

Good capture Tick. I like the nostalgic touch of it.

I bet rays burgers were better than Big Mac and this is a excellent composed photo and I actually like the build running down the side plus the detail is lovely and sharp and stunning colours too.Plus for me it a very interesting looking scene as we don't have the likes of this in the UK .Plus the detail is that good you can zoom in and see what it was like my years ago with the photos on the wall.Well done.

Reminds me of the opening of the Sopranos and the Pizza shop near the end of the song. I wonder if the hamburgers are good at Ray's. I bet they are.

Looks like a great place for lunch; those little mom & pop's always have the best food. I don't care how "greasy" the spoon is. A nice look at the real Americana, Tick.
