Easter is almost here and on Good Friday, Jesus was crucified upon the cross.
When the Lord Jesus Christ shed his blood on the cross, he paid for our sins so that we can be saved from the wrath to come and can know God as our Father. All we have to do is REPENT of our sins and BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus Christ
Before he shed his blood for our sins, the blood of animals was shed upon the altar to atone for our sins.
I also have a black and white version of this scene, but I think the color version is more representative of the Easter season. This is my belief and not intended to oppose how others believe

My belief as well, Tick...and you've chosen a lovely way to portray that Biblical truth...before His crucifixion He often spoke in parables to exemplify His teachings...one in particular speaks of the shepherd who having 99 sheep who were not lost, would go out in search of the ONE who was lost...this shows us that He loves us so much He would have gone through all He did even to save just ONE soul...thank you for sharing this.
