You might need to use your imagination to visualize what I see with my mind and eye in this photo. I see a once majestic animal left to return to the earth with the elements slowly taking it away. Such is the circle of life.

A possible entry for the Bark contest.

I'd say it is a great entry. Bet there might be an owls nest in there.

Who knows what is in a mind's eye?

I can see what isn't there, in your picture, like the trunk, and the tusks, and the giant feet. Surely this is an elephant and not a tree. Surely that is a tear in its eye, beginning its flow downward.

Maybe some will only see an eye, sadly, and miss the elephant standing mournfully before them.

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), I had expected a tear in its eye, but I see the start of a renewed life.
Perfect and well captured find, being a very apt entry for the 'Bark' contest.
Wish you Good Luck with it, 👍 !

That has to be the grand daddy of the mammoth to have an eye like that. A super find and shot and of course a winner if you enter this one for the contest.

Super detail and clarity, I can see that also, but the hole would make a fine home for critters or big Pileated Woodpecker
