While the horses are busy enjoying this wonderful summer day, I will try to savor the beauty and warmth of the scene. Hopefully it will help sustain me through the long winters months that will inevitably arrive.
The end of summer brings us the beginnings of transitions. Some good, some not so. For example, baseball begins to wrap it up for the season, and, people begin getting sunburns at September football games. Baseball good. Football good. Summer good. Winter not so good.
This peaceful day, in your picture, shows us being a horse is a pretty good thing to be. Eat, drink, horse around. Not too bad.
Hope your Cardinals go all the way and play my Yankees. Classic World Series!
Beautiful scene in the pasture Tick - very nicely composed and balanced - bring up this image in the dead of winter - it is sure to brighten your day - Great Capture:-):-):-):-):-)!!!!!
A nice and peaceful looking scene with the horses grazing happily in the abundance of fresh greens. The green covered land land with the wild flowers looks wonderful too Tick.
An idyllic, pastoral scene and well captured...certainly one to enjoy and daydream over during those long, cold, winter months...a lovely place to be any time of year.
Owd Fella Tick (OFT), each season has its own advantages and disadvantages. Think however that the summer time has more advantages when compared with the winter time. This fine image could be a proof for that. Could be helpful in sustaining us through the long winters months. But we have to accept this because the passing of the seasons is an unavoidable process.

Love seeing the horses in the pasture next door grazing and running like they are happy to be free of the barn. Indeed something to warm the soul during the coming winter days. Excellent work Tick. Thank you.
Nicely done Tick! tigz=^..^=
