I really don't know if this was a doll house or not, but thought it could have been. I was impressed by all the windows and how light it must be inside.

Another thing that impressed me was that my Grandfather, sawed the lumber for both the Doll House and the House behind it. You can see a photo of him here. Both buildings are stuccoed, but there is a wood frame underneath the stucco and the roofing. He died in 1963, so this was probably built during the depression or the war years.

Take care and stay well.

I see a porch in front of the door of the Doll House but no walkway up to it from either side of the building. So, I am guessing there is also an entrance to the Doll House from the side facing the main house. Maybe the approach from the road to the main house comes from the left side of this picture. The glass in the windows of the Doll House must be pretty new - after all, they are more than strong enough to hold up that very heavy golfer teeing off!!!

So interesting Tick and the fact that you can see the product of your grandfather's labor is very special.

I could imagine that if someone with money to spare (need not be Bloomberg) does some repairs on the buildings and creates a nice garden in front this will look fabulous. They can even leave "Tick Morgan swinging the golf club" intact on that one window. Good find and a nice capture Tick.

Almost looks like the house had a closed in porch, it was unique. Were they attached? Nice capture.

...It doesn't LOOK like a "Doll House"... Could be anything!

Some farms that had sizeable vegetable gardens in addition to their main crops had what was known as "canning sheds or pickle/preserve houses" that included large sized wood or gas fired stoves for processing vegetables utilizing the old fashioned glass jars...This was usually a duty the farmer's wife or female members of the farm family would partake in... The jars of finished product would often sit on shelves in front of the windows to allow the sun to age and/or aid in "pickling" the contents...

Nice one, Cap'n... Faved...

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), houses like this one aren't built or constructed anymore. It would have been an excellent studio for a sculptor or painter. The incidence of light would have been very inspiring in this case.

Take care in these difficult times, and stay safe and healthy!
