Today is the 19th anniversary of the terrible Terrorist attack on the United States of America. We were all asked to "Never Forget" what happened on 9/11/2001. It wasn't only Americans that lost their lives when planes were crashed into the Twin Towers in New York City or when a plane struck The Pentagon in Washington D.C. Another plane crashed in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania when the passengers fought back and kept the terrorist from crashing the plane into The White House. I never forgot.

---I never forgot---

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), neither do I. I can remember very good where I was when the terrible message of the attacks received me: I was doing some volunteer work when a colleague volunteer brought the terrible news. Once at home I switched on the TV in and I couldn't believe my eyes. What I've seen then, still impresses me. I think however that I'm not the only one.
Therefore: let's never forget indeed.
For that purpose is your entry a very good one for the photojournalism gallery!

For our generation, we will always remember where we were when President Kennedy was assassinated and where we were on 9/11. Such horror, such extreme sadness. There is no way to forget.

I agree with all that John said - certainly two events I will not ever forget. Certain images from those days get seared into our memory banks.

I remember I was at work when the news came. It was like I was in unbelief. It took a while to realize it had actually happened. My niece was in the pentagon building when that attack occurred...thankfully in another part of the building. Yes it is seared in my memory.

Tick , I happened to be watching the news on TV when suddenly the screen changed to the tragedy in New York. I saw the second plane hitting the tower as I continued to watch. It was just horrible! I can never forget what I saw.
