This old house sits down a lane and no longer greets visitors. The only people who most likely notice the house are its owners, who drive by on their way to farm the land or feed the livestock. Sometimes a photographer who loves such places, spies it and takes a few photos. I was one of those photographers. The textures jumped out at me as did the vines adding some color.

If we had a contest for derelict houses this would have won Tick. The vines and flowers are doing their best to give the building a sign of life.

Those honeysuckles give this old house a fresh look. Good capture, Tick.

Great capture, looks like something around here. I like the little dab of color running up the side. My kind of photo.

Good find and great capture Tick - there's so much to observe in your image - love the old dilapidated house - most of the paint gone - love the exposed beams in the upper floor and the vine growing there as well and it looks as though the family didn't remove the TV antenna!!!

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), you're right! Most people pass by such a house and have a negative opinion about this ruin. Only a good photographer will notice the photogenic aspect of such a subject and take advantage of it.
With such a comment, I have given an indirect assessment of your photographic qualities. It proves to me once again that a keen eye is much more important than having an expensive camera in order to achieve a good photographic result. Very well done again, 👍 !

...I would hazard a guess that WAS once the main house back in the farm's earlier days...Who knows how many generations ago?

Nice one...Faved
