I have read somewhere that they can see a rabbit from 5000 feet up above! Wonderful shot EJ. The bird looks majestic sitting up there!

He looks like the king that he is SK. Thanks for the tech talk. It helps. Does your lens/camera have built in stabilization? If not--you sure have a steady hand. Great post.

Fantastic shot!! Thanks for the Tick Tech Talk ... but I don't have a 300mm lens, or a steady hand, even with the VR lens, and there are lots of eagles around here, especially at the city dump.

I do envy you being able to photograph these magnificent birds in the wild EJ. What a beauty this one is. The sharpness of the eye here is pargicularly good and I like the use of the frame too.
