The roof of this original Gaudi's work is arched and was likened to the back of a dragon or a dinosaur..A common theory about the building is that the rounded feature to the left of centre,terminating at the top in a turret and cross,represents the sword of Saint George(patron saint of Catalonia),which has plunged into the back of the dragon..Along with two other modernist works ,the Casa Amatler(which you can see beside) and the Casa Léo Morena,the Casa Batllo makes up the "Block of Discord"..hope you'll enjoy!....see also. ..

Wow! Wow! Wow What awesome colors and I like the angle you took this shot from. I can't imagine how long it would have taken to do this. Thanks for sharing photo and information.

My oh My thats wonderful! Those colours just leap at you dont they, imagine living where you could see that each day, let alone to live in it. I am so hooked on this architect now, those balconies are great. Beautiful building captured beautifully. Going right into my faves.
