I wasn't quite happy with the first version of this, especially the stars. So I created a new brush for them. I also changed the background to give it a bit less radial blur and more texture. I think it still gives a sense of motion, though.
Here's the original for comparison.

A pretty fantasy image, and excellent as a desktop wallpaper. I agree the stars are better in themselves, but I like the crispness of them in the other image... they give a bit more for the eyes to hold onto. Maybe different stars but a bit sharper? Others might disagree, and prefer the softer stars, but that was my immediate thought. Good luck in the contest. :-)
