After the lush green atmosphere of Abu Dhabi, this is actually the desert in the UAE and you see camels everywhere. Definitely not a 'cute' picture but reality (they are not pretty). The UAE has seven different sands throughout this small country and I was fortunate enough to see many of them. Will try to post some semblence of them one day. Thanks for taking a peek here today and for your always kind input and words. Anita

A cute camel Anita ... I like how you captured it in it's natural surroundings. I didn't think trees would grow in the desert (UAE). The images I have seen has been so barren ... only sand. A fantastic capture .... Thank you for sharing.

Do you "hail a camel"? I can only imagine what it must be like standing next to one of these magnificent creatures, though a bit odorous! :) I'll look forward to see more UAE posts!

Is this how you got around, Anita? I think he's cute too. And he IS posing for you. It looks like two kinds of sand in this picture and it that a rig in the background. Thanks for the camel Anita.

Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel. -Josemaria Escriva

I'd walk a mile for a camel. I need to go get a glass of water now.

They are the weirdest animals indeed, i have seen them in Northern Africa to.
The smell is NOT good, and they make a lot of noice, but yet, they have given people a sort of transportation throughout centuaries !
Thank you for posting this one.

Nice one, Anita. It is a good image. During my stay in Saudi and Kuwait they were everywhere. The Saudi's carry their racing camels in pickup trucks.

I really like the grain in this picture, it gives it a more desert feeling. And I never thought I'd be saying cute camel but he is a cute camel! I love the trees in the backround too. Great capture.
