You've really captured the desert atmosphere with the rich colors and the lighting and your composition is excellent. I love the cool yellows and green of the flower. They contrast so well with the warm background and the deep shadows. Well done!
Incredible beautifull image, i love it how this cactus blossoms... well taken.
I heard once, that some cactusses, only blossom in 200 years...
Well, you do not want to miss that one then !
A beautiful capture Anita ... gives you a feel of the desert. The lighting, shadows, & detail are amazing. I love the contrast in colors. Very nicely done ... thank you for sharing these beauties.
Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel.

The name ChuPat is derived from my nickname Chuck and my wife of 34 years name Patti. Her photography will appear on Caedes as well from time to time. I consider myself an advanced amature not anyway close to being a professional. I have just taken photography more seriously since I have switched to digital. My profession has always been associated with pohtography in one way or another. Any criticism I receive will be well appreciated.
This is an very captivating pic. I like the way it's composed, as well as the colors that are so different from each other and yet work so well together. It seems you are giving us a lesson in multiples of twos...two large soft yellow/green flowers on the blue prickly pears of which there are four, with the fifth on just barely showing...two lush, dark green buds to the right, so tightly capped and just waiting for their time in the sun..two sand colored stones on the left that support the excellent shadows being thrown by the cacti and their flowers too...the shadows are extremely clear and do add a lot...so with the mathematical lesson almost done, you've thrown in thousands of cheerfully colored pebbles, and I hope you don't hold me after class to count them all..lol.. :)PJ

Great shot Anita, I love the cactus in general, but these are so very special and you've captured them so well, I like the framing too, it deepens the yellow colour , well done !

Very nice composition, Anita, and the sharpness of the flowers is excellent. The bright yellow flowers certainly compliment the neutral colors of the desert. This surely brings back memories of the '50's when I had the pleasure of visiting the Southwest two summers in a row............Neil
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
olá Anita, plus an excellent work, (Texas rainbow Cactu) good capture, wonderful and cool colors that make the contrast with everything what it it is to encircle. I liked immense and I give my congratulations to you (pride)

Hey Anita this makes a really good desktop background. Nice earth tones and perfect shadows. The yellowish green flowers just make the picture happen. Great.
