UF4.....The last of this weeks homework....For this image we had to use a texture only mask layer with a different texture or fractal as the host layer.

Very good use of light and shadow on this. And the shapes are done real well.

Well, I think that I have the "bugs" out of this computer. I am using a new (to me) version of PE3 thanks for waiting & I'll try and post more often now. ;-) Steve

Great Work on this piece. I 'm not a big fan of this media, but this piece seems to be going somewhere, saying something.

It's a flower with square leaves..just joking. You've done a tremendous job on the work you were assigned. I'd be really proud of this one.

No idea what that means, but the result is fantastic as usual. I thought at first you'd called it 'Death and Hope' and was going to protest the death part, at least. 'Depth and Hope' makes more sense although it feels a little too much like an ending, twilight to be especially hopeful. Lovely use of light and dark. It makes me think of maybe Victorian houses - the city houses which were narrow, terraced affairs with three or four floors - flooring polished by domestic servants viewed down the spiralling staircase. Maybe more a sense of exhaustion than hope as somebody looks down at the results of a day's labour shining the unforgiving surfaces... Too bad it'll all have to be done again tomorrow.

Excellent.
