Apperantly this is the pulsatilla vulgaris, post bloom. Nature is insane.

I knew it was the pulsatilla vulgaris! Lol just kiddin'. Nice macro photo, this reminds me of some fractals I've made recently!

Nature does some strange things, all right. Nice shot. The only suggestion I would make is to carefully clone out the white spot in the upper left, as it draws attention away from the main subject.
