I must says, 3dsmax is not a program I control so well, I use it principally to create abstract shapes( it's been a while since I even make a realistic object). All the work is done with photoshop. the 3D render are juste base for my pic^^... and I often use them several time in different image^^. Like this one^^.
In fact, the 3D is not so much visible, it's more photoshop filters and effect I used here^^...

Incredible. I see the ghosts/wraiths too... it's such a subtle yet striking style, very haunting (pardon the pun), mesmerizing, even. Reminds me of mist, too, with the white haze. Breathtaking.

I hate to be a dick be have to say something about this one. Cain, your great and I like your work. There is somethisng not right to me about this one. You a very dark theme going with this one and the contrast between the background and the two light-blue smoke-like figures (are those skulls?) is just a little to much.

yes the contrast is maybe a little bit too harsh here, but I like it that way^^.... but I can understand that not everyone like it^^. I don't really know what the smoke-like figure are, it's up to the imagination^^... Myself, I see showers! lool!

Excellent image the only problem i can really see is that my eye can never settle on the image it keeps gettin g pulled to another part of the screen - then again maybe that makes it all the more interesting ???? i dunno tooo tired to think clearly about it
