I prefer this shot. I agree, the border does add alot to it. I would prefer it if the background were a touch sharper, perhaps some would say that the indistinctness adds to the mood but IMO this style of shot always looks better if it is razor sharp all the way through. I reallly like the way you have cropped out the sky, which most people wouldn't consider doing.

Lucy this is beautiful. I love the meandering road that cuts a curving diagonal from lower right to upper left (or vice-versa), and the fences too. The emerald green is deeply rich, and the trees provide just enough focal point to give the eye something around which to place the image. Lovely. Just lovely.

Absolutely love it! I love the green - I like the horizontal layout and the frame you've added to highlight this section. I like the image itself - its so peaceful and yet a little eerie. Great work :o)

We are always garrenteed something moody with your posts. Somhow you have managed to add menecing characteristics to a beautiful field - the lack of sky allows us to truly focus on the atmosphere of the field - good work!

I like this image. There is definitely something to be said for long narrow images. They are becoming more and more popular in the art world. 10 for a real top drawer image.

Again, the image is marvelously surreal, and the frame only increases that sense of un-reality. The composition is simple, yet not lacking or distracting. The image is, as always, crisp and clean. Keep up your trademarked "unnatural" landscapes, because everyone else just figured out how to make grids! :-D

10/10. This photo is fantastic. The panoramic feel to it (from cropping i guess) makes it spectacular to look at, not to mention the idea of cropping out the sky. It has a fantastic mood, and the composition and beautiful shades of green in this photo top it all off. im going to have to have a look at the other one now. this is in the favs for me.

I wasn't sure about this one when I saw the border but on closer inspection its has also worked very well. I just love those colours you have used in both of the compositions.
Well done! -and also added to faves!
