*starts to dismantle stakeout on Rebecca's galleries ... decides to leave it in place in anticipation of more images*

Ehh ... it wouldn't be the same if I left it at just the above.

Without the benefit of having been there ... curious if the triangulation of dandelion, crab spider(?) and the dominant insect ... would carry off lowering your perspective/camera position, such that the spider was not so close to the bottom of the frame and edge?

You've set up the composition well for the dandelion, however ... to my eyes and mind ... the two lil' critters have much more draw and that is where I find my eyes gravitating towards. So ... bring them into the composition more? As in, central focal points?

Just some thoughts.

If at all possible, it would have been killer to see the front of the larger insect watching the spider below. As it appears that the insect is more than cognizant of it's presence.

Still, that said ... a good shot in terms of natural colour, clarity and good bokeh.

Congratulations once again Rebecca. Looking forward to seeing more from you and your new camera. :o)

Thanks for leaving all the info. I'm very impressed with your steady hand. I didn't see a tripod listed, so I assumed that it was handheld?

Despite lesismore's comments, and they are valid ones, I like this very much and it's always fun to move on with experiments.

Keep 'em coming. The more practice time you get in the better :) Or at least that's the way it works for me.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"
