I'm trying to get back into my photography as a therapy since my husband passed. This is my first submission in a long time. Be kind.

No worries, Laura, this is an excellent study in specific focal length, really showing off the rusted texture of the railroad spikes. I might have cropped some of the bottom off, though, making it a pano. I can't tell you enough how sorry I am for the loss of your hubby, D. One day at a time, girl, one day at a time. Hopefully, photography can be therapeutic for you; creative outlets can often let you see within yourself strength and possibilities you didn't know you had. Take care. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.

So sorry for you loss Laura. Keeping the mind busy is good as only time can heal.
This photo makes me think of all the trains than no longer run in many parts of our nation.
You are in my prayers.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
