I use Maya Unlimited 5.0 with Mental Ray...and its not that i like balls...but for doing renders with natural light they give some of the best results with simple objects.
Thank you for the reviews...i have more natural light rendered images readily available but at a 640x480 res...and yes with more balls, if you guys really want them i'll put them up, Otherwise you'll have to wait till i do some higher res renders.
this isn't a photo?! >:O wow... the spheres aren't even true spheres, that's amazing. did you warp them yourself or what... i can't find a single flaw in the computer output anywhere, wow. i guess maybe the only thing that makes me believe it's computer image is that the marble patter on the ball in the bottom left and the one in the top center right is the exact same. or the balls could be artificial haha.
i just read through this, great image and you used Maya Unlimited 5.0 just to say want to hear some thing funny. since i live in russia i can get that program for 80 rubles in american it is like a 1.50$ its the only thing i love about liveing here
wow it does look realy, nice job... i heard bout maya... i have it too but i havent tryed it yet, my bro said it was a really complex program and im just gona use it for game levelediting and character design... but this is really good, nice job
Marvellous. I like orbs, but these are a wonderfully unusual take on them - much more "natural" looking (not the shape but the marble/stone vs. metal). There's a warmth about this image - almost a humanness. It makes me think of gathering around a camp fire or a group comforting one individual, talking with each other, preparing to bed down close to each other for the night. An oasis in the midst of the white sterility of the room.
Well well. I`ve got one bad news and one good news. The bad news is that it`s a very good work. Simple is beautifull only when it`s perfectly simple.
The good news is... At least i know what happened with my marble balls that I`ve lost some time ago...
absolutely insane! i couldn't even tell it was a cgi. were you trying to immitate actual marble, or limestone? you can almost see some of the light "shining through" the orbs. it's great. i like it.
