I thought the rock in the foreground was perfect to set off the Aspens in the background. What do you think? Aspens will turn red for a very short time before they turn golden yellow. This will last for a few days then it's over. Even less if there is a hard freeze.

Gosh Chuck, the whole scene looks like it's burning up and then will turn totally red. This is amazing and your composition is terrific. So glad you shared this magnificant view. Thanks.

You're absolutely right Chuck. That boulder is just the thing to contrast with all that golden splendor. Nice of you to place it there just for our pleasure. Do be careful with your back will you ? First thing you know you'll be in traction and we won't have your postings for quite a while.

This is a marvelous post, so clear and vivid. It just jumps out and hits you in the eye with the most impressive color I've seen from your part of the world.. I agree with you, the boulder in the middle is a perfect grounding mechanism for this so that it doesn't just go flaming off the page and if I might also add, the pine greens scattered here and there in the background and to the left of the boulder, as well as the soft greens on the leaves just to the right in back and below the rock also stand to serve as solid contrasts so that we may enjoy the many shades of gold. You know me, I could go on and on, but I feel this stunner speaks for itself..nothing to complain about here, except that they won't last long, and I guess you can't fix that..lol ...great post...in my faves :)PJ

You oughta be shot for having access to colors like that. Lawdy, that's beautiful. Whew! I like the placement and inclusion of the rock. It works. As a matter of fact, it is necessary to break up all the yellow. Great post.

Great idea Chuck including this rock in this. It doesn't take away from the beauty of all this color at all. As a matter of fact, it compliments it very well. This is just an excellent example of Fall.I'll be saving this one for sure.

Hey Chuck

What a great contrast of colors. That rock looks wonderful sitting in the middle of it all. How did you get him to sit still for the shot? LOL

Anyway, well done!
