Taken (looking north) from the doctor's office... my wife's doc! From the 14th floor through glass (windows). The waterway immediately before you is False Creek. Imagine working with this view! :o) Rotated then cropped for WS (eliminating roof-tops). Fairly fresh, taken about 6 hrs ago. And then rotated .2 CW more 'cause I had not rotated quite enough and it was noticed. Thank-you! :o) I hope this is correct.

If I am not mistaken, most if not all of the pictures of Vancouver are taken from English Bay area including Stanley Park with some from further to the right more to the end of False Creek. My wife had an operation on one of her eyes early yesterday and had to see the doctor in the afternoon. When we entered his office area and saw the view, I immediately turned around... went back to my car... got my camera... ... and started taking shots. I got two that I liked. BUT both needed rotation to get them leaning right. I had not quite corrected this one so I had to re-do it. I hope to return to the office on a clearer day so we can get the mountains that are almost clouded out.
By the way, SHE is doing fine! I just hope that with her improved vision she will not see me in a different light! :o)

Oh my gosh, this looks packed the way San Francisco is!!! I can't believe Vanouver is this filled with tall buildings now. It's wonderful that one side of the water is green and gorgeous. Is the the Straights of Georgia ?or the Juan de Fuca Straights?I love all the boats. Is that great big giant Roller Coaster still in Vancouver?? Nice photo, very nice. Verena

There's no better pick-me up than to surround oneself with friends and flowers.

This series of pictures of Vancouver was taken facing North.
The waterway (running East-West) you see in that pic is called False Creek. The Strait of Georgia separates mainland BC from Vancouver Island. The Strait of Juan de Fuca is on the American side of the border and becomes the Strait of Georgia??? on the Canadian side. Both Straits run basically North-South.

Pat... as you already know... the spectacular is in your work!. How could anyone be anything but very pleased having received a gift like your image!?!

Way back, shortly after I had taken this photo, I saw a similar large sized picture in a frame at an art shop on Granville Island.

I remember being quite pleased with the similarity to that original!
