All those stars could possibly have planets around them which could possibly have life! Amazing!!! 40 billion stars per galaxy (aprox) and an estimated 70 billion galaxies!!

Astronomers have already photographed and listed well in excess of half a million galaxies ( as of circa 20 years or so ago ). One astronomer says that there are probably as many galaxies in the universe as there are individual grains of sand on all the ocean beaches and ocean bottoms of planet Earth!
The Hubble Telescope Deep Field examination of a not particularly promising patch of the night sky roughly the size of the full Moon that reveals several hundred previously unsuspected and undetected galaxies helps to make one believe the galaxies to grains of sand equation is no exaggeration.That has to be a whole lot of galaxies! (Keep in mind that the full Moon occupies a patch of the night sky as big as an average lentil viewed held between your thumb and index finger at arm's length. This is to say that if you hold an average lentil up at arm's length it will manage to fully cover the disc of the full Moon in the night sky (or the Sun in the daytime sky, since the Sun and the Moon have the same apparent size as seen from planet Earth). Now how many lentils or full Moons would it take to cover the entire night sky? A lot! Multiply that by several hundred galaxies per lentil and you will rightly conclude that there is one heck of a lot of real estate out there.

I love it! Its 98 Million Light years away! That is always amazing to me, for those who don't know a light year is the distance Light will travel in one year and it travels at 186,000 miles per second! So just imagine going 186,000 miles per second for 98 Million years!
