I discovered my High School chemistry book (after about 4 years), and got a bit of inspiration. Hope you guys like it.

this is a really cool image. I am such a nerd, I sat here for a few minutes trying to figure out what molecule that is! hahaha, good job

Well, it's pretty easy to figure it out. Use the sizes of the atoms...

I hope you continue to be inspired by the sciences. This is too cool.

What a great source for images! How clever KJ. I like the shadowed molecules in the background. That gives the image a lot of depth. This is a cool desktop. Thank you.!

Absolutely brilliant. I love the texture within the atoms - btw, what molecule? ( I'm no scientist).
10/10, Favs.

I'm thinking of perhaps doing a series of these... so keep a lookout. I'm not gonna spoil this yet... all I going to say is that it's some kind of acid (now I'm giving it away).

I'm studying chemistry at a univerity in Stockholm and I must say I've never seen a molecule like that before. Electric bonds?

Nice picture. I'm a chem nerd so I got excited when I saw this.

It looks like sulfuric acid to me, although I have to say that's not a really good representation of the actual structure. All the bonds are drawn the same, when the bonds in the sulfate ion are covalent. They should have drawn the sulfate ion as overlapping orbs, and only used the electric thingies to connect the hydrogens (the small orbs in that pic) to the sulfate ion. That would have been better.

Still a nice pic though.
