This was a background made for my site about a year ago, I got great comments on it so I decided to put it here. Look @ it and try to figure out the message behind it.... Post your comments on what you think it is.
The whole picture just seems like a memory or something... as if time is just passing away (the baby face and the old man's face)...
Hmmm... the more I look at it the more meanings I can see in it... for instance the man at the bridge seems to be sad and he's facing the statue of libery... maybe he's mourning lost liberties that have eroded over time (symbolized by the young and the old faces in the background?)
Another thing that just occured to me... the baby's eyes are looking up, perhaps symbolizing looking forward to the future, while the old man's eyes are looking directly at you wondering what we (the present) are going to do with the world...
The more you look at it the more you can see.... =) Good picture.
I noticed just the statue of liberty is colored. It is therefore the essential element of this picture. I think it is the role of the old people to maintain a free world, for the future of the young people...
not sure what this image means. but essentially, something made you do this.. i like the man standing by himself, it reminds me of how much i value solitude
good work
I know its i little late but here goes. It looks like the baby was some where else (the city to the left) then came here (the statue of liberty on the right) the man on the bridge looks sad maby he left some one behind. Just a thought
The man leaning on the rail is slightly transparent, as are the old man and baby. Perhaps symbolizing the hope of one man, coming to America for liberty, dying, and his spirit lives on, still holding onto America.
wow. there's a sense of memories, aging, and sadness. it seems to be what's inside the soul of that man. are you going to tell us the key idea you had in mind when you created it?
The idea behind it, it's been a while I did it... I wasn't thinking about anything but inspiration made me do it that way. I guess it's a message that's always a mistery. Although we are all diffrent, it can mean something a bit diffrent to everyone of us.
almost too much in the picture.. the eye dances all over.. but I love the idea... perhaps a way to gather the images into a more centralized.... Im not sure.. but the current layout does injustice to the concept and the shots... just some constructive criticism.. i like your work..
Very provocative! For me it had darker connotations, but stimulated an interesting progression.
The old man is at the rail. He's come to the end (at least so he believes) and feels trapped by the pointless, powerless time ahead, waiting to die; to be let out. He envisions an idealization of liberty (a quick out -- the water below). The child's face is the dreams he began with, the older face, looking down seems at first to be his own, contemplating the decision. But then you notice the intensity of the stare, the challenge. The old face is not dispairing.
Something beyond him is charging him with the purpose to hold on, to persevere. He may not realize his dreams, but he may inspire another to carry them forward.
Your use of images in the mist is great. Go with the feel of it. If it is true art it will evoke responses far beyond what you can consciously formulate; your soul reaches deeper than your mind can follow.
I'm not sure what the intended message is but I think it's imagery fits so many roads in life. Life to death, birth and growing old, war and liberty, family love. Very nice work, I find it very compelling................LPF
"Love starts at home: family first then the indivdual then your town. its easy to love people far away, but it is not always easy those right next to us. I do not agree with the big way of doing things. Love needs to start with an individual." -Mother Teresa ( But in my opinion whever there is world crisis it is wise to give.)
