Shot taken at Suomenlinna fortress in Finland. This little fellow noticed me, and watched me while I was taking pictures.

This has such sweet appeal. Your subject off center is giving us quite the curious look and I like that way the diagonal of the bright branch shows us the way. Well done!

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

Fun capture of the expressive bird. I enjoy the composition.

If it were mine I'd crop out the branch, or darken it a bit, as it's brightness and colour distracts from the bird, which is in such nice light.

Nice shot. I too think it can be improved. It does lend itself to a vertical presentation but in more of a square format. Cropping the left border right up to the branch, then the top down to where the brance gets thicker(this removes the top left ball of green) and then cloning out the tiny circular spot of light green below the branch. The base of the photo is fairly heavy, and leaving most of the branc in tends to work as a balance in the overall scene. A slight reduction in Gamma wil darken the bird slightly and improve the detail.
All simple things but puts much more emphasis on the principle subject.
