You don't post very often, but when you do up pops an image that is always slightly different to the usual ones. I would say that it would have been better with less aperture. Bits of the grass are blown slightly and that removes some of the detail, and it would also have darkened the background. This often hap end on images with a large area of mid brightness and a small area of bright. I would have cropped off the yellow flowers at the bottom as the just distract from the seed and grass. Very nicely composed with the diagonal elements, and pleasing to the eye.
I know that once an image is submitted, that's pretty much it unless some very drastic editing or a different angle on the subject is created, but I would have suggested some severe cropping on this one, upwards of 50%. That seed is a great capture, along with the wild grass stem, but there's quite a bit of dead space in here, even considering the bokeh. Also, those yellow flowers at the bottom are a distraction. I always look for the photo within the photo and often shoot mine larger than I need so I can crop in later. It's better to have too much than too little, but not when it comes time to present the finished product. A good photo... it's just not finished.
