Wow Hilde...this is a cracker of an image, you wonder how those trees survive after all that frost.....well composed and such a clear focus....very nice...Bob
An antediluvian scene....taken right after an asteroid destroyed 90 percent of the species on the planet and the earth was plunged into an ice age!. My thoughts may be odd....but your photo is beautiful! Thankyou for sharing!
I think this one is wallpaper material. I use to have a horse in my teen years when I lived in Ohio. The minute a hard frost came, we were gone-into the woods. It was so silent. Nothing moved. Nothing could. Everything was frozen. The silence was deafening. I'm in Louisiana now. Sometimes I miss winter-I think!
One suggestion for improvement. That big tree trunk on the left in the foreground...there is nothing frozen about it. It bugs me. I tried cropping it it by holding up a piece of blank paper. That sort of works. Wonder if you could have either backed up and taken the shot where that trunk would have shown up smaller or just walked past it further unto the woods?
Dear Hilde, it looks like Poland, we have so many country roads looking just like this, with the willow trees on both sides... And you managed to capture them in white gown, how picturesque. Thank you so much for this beautiful photo. 10 from me.
Hi Hilde. I like the way you set two anchors (the trees) in this image to balance out the rest, and filled the frame with radiating lines. The edge work is quite good too. That tree on the far left is a bit distracting, but what do I know? I like it.
This is beautiful. I always love a frost covered morning (from the inside looking out of course). This shot contains some interesting looking trees that I don't have in my area. Thanks for sharing. Great work!
