I've always been fascinated by urban textures and skylines and even the pollution that usually attends the urban scene. This is just a quick paint abstract, painted in Photoshop CS4. I hope it speaks to you in some way.
Peter, this is magnificently done. You have such an artists eye...for creating the feelings. You captured the very essence of a city...the good, bad and ugly...yet they have all merged together, completing the true urban feeling. The way you have brought the building reaching high into the sky is perfect. Man will keep going up and up.And the colouring you used, of course it tells the story of the smog and air. And the one bird flying above, so life is still there, but he appears lonely.Yet Strong.
One of your best creations. Something to ponder on. Thank you so much, and my thoughts are with you my friend. Verena
Thanx guys...I appreciate the opinions of three people I respect. Each of you has a wonderful eye. And Verena, you always do such a nice analysis for me.
Reminds me of the History Channel's Life After People. That's not a bad comment on your work, just that in a graphic way this image captures how it's the people that make a city not its structures.
Faved!
If I may be bold ... and dumb here, in looking at the depth of the blacks on the bird ... perhaps, increase the density of the structures'..
Ehh, never mind.
Never attempt a 'constructive (and ill-informed) critique' ... unless ... properly caffeinated.
Just kidding a bit in the above.
What first appeared to my eyes as a difference in the intensities of the black of the bird, compared to the structures (and in turn and in mind, threw off the balance some) ... evaporated with that of the glare coming off of my monitor that was present when I first viewed your piece here. Some days back now and at a differing time of day.
I forget about that stuff at times.
Very nice work. I enjoy this one very much. 'Nuff said from me. Save the following ...
+favs for me.
Thanks for sharing your creativity with us. Sincerely appreciated by this viewer.
p.s. And I trust that my words here find all is well with you and yours. :o)
