How much of this is pencil and how much of it is photoshop. Im guessing most of the drawing is all pencil and photoshop is the matte and the like, but i've been known to be wrong. It is very well done.

What an incredible sketch.. so much gentle movement in it, back and forth. It's wonderful. :-) To me the elephant seems to say:

Mine the rhythm
back and forth
my path the sway,
the tick of time.

Withered skin that
wrinkles deep
like the cracked clay
beneath my feet.

Old like Africa;
Old like me.
Ticking time away
with each trunk sway..

I am this place..

I love the texture on this fellows skin, really captures the character of an elephant. I feel that the framing on this might be letting it down a bit, you have obviously spent some time on the drawing but the framing doesn't really do it justice if you ask me.

I wish I could draw like this... even my stick figures don't look like stick figures ;-P
